As an ardent ecologist I like to familiarize myself with the land, be sensitive to the architectural surroundings and develop site-specific and sustainable landscapes.

We live on an arid, seasonal floodplain and our varied communities offer up a virtual laboratory for growing some of the most beautiful and unique plants in the world. Pistil and Stamens supports a genuine “get back to nature” approach to gardening.

I encourage the use of our rich native plant horticulture, building a landscape from elements that are comfortable with our soil, temperate climate, and are inviting to birds and other wildlife.

For a successful project, I like to lay substantive groundwork and come to a shared set of goals with the client. The more carefully we take into account your lifestyle needs and desires the more meaningful your final garden plan will be.  A well-landscaped exterior, sensitive to all of these factors, enriches one’s enjoyment of the home while simultaneously increasing its value.
